This page is a small
project designed to give younger web surfers a chance to see what the world
was like when their parents and perhaps grandparents, were growing up. Baby Boomers
were those people born between 1946 and 1964. This site has photos going up to 1980
so those viewing this site will get a taste of those "Boomers" growing up through their formative years.
Most of the photographs contained herein are from various sources and from
the author's own private collection. Many are not the best in the world,
but will have to do until better prints can be found. Photographs range
from the post-war era forties through the idyllic fifties, the turbulent sixties,
and on to the sassy seventies. The pictures range from everyday life, to
music, politics, and just plain fun. The pictures from each decade are
in no particular order. It's just a small website for informational purposes
and education. Maybe your children will have a better understanding on
where you came from and where we are going!! Enjoy!! (Click on the banners below to head to the
decade of your choice!)
Photos courtesy of The History Place, Time-Life Books, Jeff Dunn, Phil Kunz,
Libby Kinman, IMS, Fred Farley, Cornell Capa, Don McCallin, Bruce Davidson, and from the vast collection of my own photographs, both
historical and personal.
